Pat was born in Portland on July 23, 1945, and grew up in the Raleigh Hills neighborhood. He attended St. Thomas More Grade School, and was a 1963 graduate of Jesuit High School. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon in 1967; he was a proud member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
Pat began his professional career as manager of the Arrowhead Hotel in Burns in 1968, then moved back to Portland to become Assistant Manager of the Portland Golf Club. After a brief hiatus to explore the world, Pat resumed his working career with family-owned Sierra Mtn. Mills in California, followed by H.A. Anderson Construction Co. of Portland. Ever the independent one, Pat was the owner/operator of Fub’s Tubs, and Pat’s Professional Painting in Portland.
Pat was a lover of travel, and his adventures took him around the globe. He was an avid outdoorsman and athlete. Ever the charismatic free spirit, he easily gathered an extensive entourage of friends who readily loved and supported Pat his entire life; in this respect, he was truly blessed.
Pat was married to Barbara Jameson Casey from 1983-1992. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Casey, and his brothers, Tim and Dennis. Pat is survived by his siblings, John (Claire) of Nevada City, CA, Brian (Peggy) of Seattle, Colleen Donnelly (Bob) of Eugene, Michael (Mary) and Maureen Fullmer (Tom) of Portland. He leaves behind a wealth of cherished nieces and nephews as well, all of whom simply adored their charming Uncle Pat.
