On July 7, 1978, Paul married Debbie Andersen. Together, they raised a family and built a legacy of love and care. Paul’s professional journey began as a crane operator at Esco before moving on to Bud’s Saw Service and LWO. However, it was his passion for animals that led him and Debbie to open Nana's Pet Shop, a dream they shared until its closure in 2009. Paul went on to work at CB’s Tropical Fish Store, where he spent his final working years before retiring in 2024.
Throughout his life, Paul was an avid animal lover, particularly when it came to raising pigeons and caring for both fresh and saltwater fish. His passion for the Portland Blazers was well-known, but it was his people skills that made him truly unforgettable. He had a rare gift of listening, understanding, and offering help to those around him. Always quick with a witty remark, he was a smart ass with an infectious sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew him. Paul was a loving and caring husband, father, and friend. He was kind, thoughtful, and generous with his time.
Paul is survived by his wife, Debbie Andersen; children, Phillip Andersen, Terry Andersen, Tim Andersen, and Christina Andersen; and sisters, Susan Fleury and MaryJo Andersen.
A memorial service to celebrate Paul's life will be held on March 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
Paul’s spirit, humor, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
