I never met Peyton in person, but she holds a very dear spot in my heart. We met at a virtual retreat during Covid lockdown. It was a hard time for many in the world. And it was a hard time for me and my family.  We were studying meditation and energy work together. Through this we  became  instant friends and she was so great to communicate with me often and Brighten my day!!!

I wish I could go back and say, “Yes!” to every time Peyton invited me to a Portland Timbers or Thorns game. The one time I mustered up the energy and agreed to attend, we planned to meet at Kell’s in Northwest Portland. She took the MAX and somehow ended up at the Kell’s in Downtown Portland. But being the resilient young woman that she was, she hopped on a bus and made it to the right location in plenty of time for us to snarf down caesar salads before the game. I recall nearly nothing of the game except that we giggled and laughed and had a blast being loud along with the Timbers Army.

While I've known her mom for a few decades, I only had the chance to meet Peyton in person once they relocated to Oregon. On my first meeting, at Nostrana restaurant in SE Portland, Peyton emanated warmth and happiness. I was particularly touched that she worked hard on learning some French phrases to speak with my French husband. Once they were settled in Oregon, on a whim, and at Peyton's request, I took them to her first "sushi" experience at a highly recommended sushi place; only to find out a) the place wasn't as great as I thought it would be, and b) Peyton discovered she really didn't like sushi! I'm still smiling about that day, as well as the moment I found out she had a similar sense of humor as I did. Peyton's warmth, smile, and genuine love for everyone will be something I will never forget.

I have loved this bright shining smiling light of a child since she was a tiny baby.  Peyton was always positive and happy, despite all of her challenges.  A true warrior with the heart of a lion.  She fought so hard, and always with a smile on her face. I miss her more than I can put into words. To her family, I am so deeply sorry for your loss and I will be there to celebrate her with you. 💗💜

Sweet P was a client of mine. She was such a joy to have in my chair, always so bright eyed and happy to be there. Loved hearing about her stories and seeing that bright shiny smile post hair refresh. 🫶🏼

My dear sweet Peyton 🙏💜I first met you when you were in the First Grade at Manitas Elementary School and I was blessed to be your aide for two wonderful years! 😃You were such a sweet little girl and your mom always sent you dressed so cute!  Always a new outfit and you loved that!  You had a bit of a stubborn streak in you and I would remind you as we were still close friends as adults of the time you hit me with your lunchbox when you were in the First Grade lol!😂we would laugh about that and you were so apologetic.  We also laughed about lunch time at school and we came up with a saying “Where’s the Grub, Bub?” We would laugh so hard and even as adults when recalling our saying would always make us laugh 😂 You came to visit me and my two kids Will and Jenny adored you 🥰we spent time together and Jenny and I went to your dance recital and I got to go to your birthday parties!  You were always so loving to others.  You moved away but we always kept in touch as we had a special connection.  We also enjoyed going to Mimi’s Cafe together.  In December 2023 you were in Arizona for a wedding and we met for breakfast at Mimi’s Cafe.  Oh how grateful I am we had that time together!  I saw before me a beautiful young lady all grown up and mature.  We talked about so many things how much you loved your family ❤️you were so full of light and love 💗 your sweet and loving Spirit was there shining forth.  After breakfast I got to see your mom and meet your Fada and that was very special to me.  We hugged and took some photos.  You are my Angel now sweet and precious Peyton.  You left this world a much better place because you were in it.  Keep shining in Heaven and one day I know I will hug you again and it will be awesome! 🤍love always  Miss Sue 🩵

I had the joy of being one of Peyton's instructors in massage school. I remember her as a very committed student and a compassionate practitioner. She worked very hard to complete our rigorous program and developed many great skills along the way. She made special connections with many of her peers. May her memory forever be a blessing.

Peyton was always so positive and filled with energy. She brought beauty and kindness to the world with her openness and caring. While she will be missed by many, hopefully we can all carry a bit of her light with us and continue to share her brilliance with the world.
