

Ramon Lionell Harris was born March 4, 1983 in Portland, OR to Renee Marie Harris and Michael Andre Horsley Sr. Most of Ramon's adolescent years were spent with his late grandparents Minnie (Dimps) and JC Harris. During this time his Aunt Mary and Uncle Virgil where strongly involved in Ramon's life. He enjoyed sports and playing basketball, going on summer trips to the beach, and having picnic's in the park with his family. He was a well-rounded kid. During his younger years he attended Humboldt Elementary. Tubman Middle School, and received his High School Diploma from Hillcrest in 2001. Ramon enrolled in the engineer program though Portland Community College and pursued his recent career in construction. At a young age he established a sense of independence. Ramon was “Sharp” intelligent, patient, and loyal. Ramon loved his family and cherished the children. His bright smile and unique laugh would light up a room. If Ramon had it his way his entire family would have lived in one house like the “Jefferson’s.” He loved to barbecue every chance he had while making sure everyone received a plate of food. In 2010, Ramon found love with Shalae Moore, and from that love they conceived a child "Ramon Lionell Harris Jr." Who is also known as Romie. Romie and his Father were inseparable, they did everything together. He enjoyed going to Romie's basketball games, visiting him at school and taking family vacations. Ramon loved telling stories about Romie’s bright personality to everyone he came across. He truly loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and cherished every moment. Ramon will be missed by his family, friends and all the people who knew and loved him. Ramon is survived by his life partner Shalae Moore and their son “Romie”; his loving mother, Renee Harris and father Michael Horsley; Grandparents Sheryl Horsley & Lloyd Allen; Brothers, Michael, Rashaud, and LaDonte Horsley; Sisters, Sharnell Harris and Ashante Horsley; very special cousins Trennetta Bradley and Tynissa Bonner; and host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews relatives and friends. Ramon was preceded in death by his loving grandparents Minnie & JC Harris.
