

He was born in West Claremont, New Hampshire, on 11/5/1925, youngest of four children of
Charles D. & Martha F. (Archibald-Knapp) Keith, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Richard served in the US Army Air Corps at the end of WW2 (1944-46), then worked on dairy farms and as
an auto mechanic before starting a 24 year career as a letter carrier with the USPS in Santa Cruz, CA.
He enjoyed traveling around the country with family and working on all sorts of projects around the house and in the yard.
Richard was married to the late H. Doris (Kenyon-Keith) Fink for 30 years then to the late
Phyllis J. (McCurdy-Lansing) Keith for 37 years, and is survived by his children Kevin Keith, Darlene Day (Tom), Vicki Lansing, Shelley Lansing, & Lynne Wilson, grandchildren Corey Bettis (Gigi), Melanie Hays, & Nicole Mengis, and many great-grandchildren.
Services will be at Lincoln Memorial in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday, 6/30/2022. Burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, in a dual plot with his wife Phyllis who preceded him in December of 2015.
