preceded him in death.
He married Margaret Bishop on April 14, 1952 in Portland, OR. They moved to
Chehalis, WA in 1954 and lived there for 23 years. He worked for Burlington
Northern/Santa Fe/Amtrak for 22 years in Longview, Chehalis, and later Centralia.
They moved to Roseburg, OR where he pastored the Apostolic Faith Church from
1977 to 1988. They moved to Medford, OR where he was an Assistant Pastor
before retiring to Portland in 2002.
Survivors include his wife Margaret of 62 years and five children: Janet Trotter
(Richard), Onalaska, WA; Richard Olson (Joy), Rhododendron, OR; Judith Johnson
(Stephen), Vancouver, WA; Gary Olson (Gaylen), Auburn, WA; and Jeanena
Spakousky (Edward), Roseburg, OR. A son, James Walter Olson, preceded
him in death in 1956. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and 17 greatgrandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at the Apostolic Faith Church in Portland, OR on
Friday, February 6 at 11 a.m.
