Robert A. Paulus, age 63, passed away on January 24, 2026. He was born on June 15, 1962, in Council Bluffs to Robert and Lorraine Paulus. He was raised in Portland, where he built a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others.
Robert attended Roosevelt High School. He dedicated much of his professional life to serving the community through his work at Central City Concern, where he deeply loved his job and the opportunity to help those in need. His compassion and commitment to uplifting others left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Robert had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy in camping, fishing, exploring new places, and spending time at the beach. Whether in the mountains, by the water, or gathered around a campfire, he cherished the beauty of God’s creation.
Known for his big heart and unwavering devotion to his family and friends, Robert would truly give the coat off his back to help anyone. He was selfless, caring, compassionate, kind, loving, patient, and understanding. A devoted Christian man, Robert gave his life to Christ and lived his faith daily as a man of the Lord.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Snow; his brother-in-law, Daniel Snow; his nieces, Shawna, Kristie, Amanda, Melinda, and Michelle; and several great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held at Skyline Memorial Gardens. Service details are to be determined.
Robert’s life was a testament to faith, love, and service. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
