Died November 30, 2024 in Portland, Oregon. Preceded in death by her sister Virginia, and brother George.
Quiet, gentle and compassionate, Sally led a very full and interesting life. She worked for the U.S. Department of State, starting in September of 1966. Some of her Embassy posts included: Yemen; Singapore; Kuwait; Bermuda; Beirut; Geneva; Washington, D.C.; Paris; and Ottawa, Canada, where she retired July of 1994, with 28 years of service to her country.
After relocating to Portland, Oregon to be nearer to her sisters, Sally learned how to paint after her retirement. Many of her beautiful paintings have found their way to family and friends. Sally was a donor to the Senior Living Foundation of the American Foreign Service. Sally especially enjoyed the holidays with family, and weekend brunches with her sisters Adele and Janette.
Sally leaves behind a grateful family, and will remain in our Hearts and minds forever.
