We got sibling puppies together. We drove up to the Seattle airport to get them. What an adventure! She loved her animals. And she had a heart of gold with all creatures.

What a wonderful memory of a weekend outing together with our girls! Scenna was always her happiest with children.

We did several projects together with the girls. This particular craftiness was for Day of the Dead. We had so much fun and we put up these decorations until this day! Such a great memory together.

Very sorry to hear of Scenna's passing.  
I will fondly remember her ambition, intellect and empathy as a young woman.  She was a bright light in this world.

We were so sorry and Saddened to hear of Scenna passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will cherish the memories on Manchester and most recently Graham’s wedding. Scenna will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace dear Scenna.

49 years ago my family moved to Lindenwood Dr.  In Westchester subdivision. There were many families on that street. We all became very close. (Wisnaskys, Troikes, Goughs, Ruperts, Bertrams and the Shipleys and a few more)

I don’t recall the exact time I met Scenna. She’s just been in my life as long as I can remember. We ran the neighborhood from dusk till dawn. Riding our bikes to Swensons.. thinking we were so cool sitting down and ordering the fat French fries and bubble gum or coffee ice cream. Sneaking into the Troikes house to grab candy from the candy drawer. We thought we were so sneaky, but I’m sure Mrs. T knew all along. We’d take the city bus to the mall, hang out under the overpass on RT 4, play ditchum with all the neighborhood kids. 

I could go on and on with stories from our childhood, but we’d be here for days. We went to Sandburg, Iles, and Franklin together. I went on to SHG and she went on to Southeast High School. 
Our friendship never faded, over the years it grew stronger. 

After college she was living in St. Louis we had many good times visiting her there. Then she moved across the country to Portland. 

I have always admired Scenna. In my eyes she was the smartest, fastest, funniest, prettiest girl I have ever known. She worked hard and gave 100% when she had a goal to accomplish. 

She achieved many goals throughout her life, but nothing gave her more joy than her sweet Scarlett. Scarlett was the bright light in Scenna’s life. 
Scarlett… your mom was so proud of you. She was your number one cheerleader. She loved you unconditionally. Keep the special times you had together in your heart and the memory of the time when your mom was at her best.

Amy and I will cherish our visit with Scenna and Scarlet, last June. We had a fun filled week in Portland. We had tons of laughs, we went to the dog park, took walks, cooked meals, and had some good quality time together.

She made our neighborhood a better place growing up.  She was the most athletic  kid (girl or boy).  She was always so kind  to everyone! When she did come back to town I really enjoyed catching up.

Scenna’s smile and energetic presence always filled the room. I count it a privilege to have experienced her as a friend in this life. I carry her in my heart and will never forget the imprint she has made. 

Our condolences go out to all of the family, especially Scarlett, and friends of Scenna on her unexpected passing.  Our friendship with Scenna dates back to when she was in high school. She was always a bright, vibrant, loving, caring and thoughtful person.  Her intelligence, ability and hard work enabled her to accomplish so much in life.  We watched her succeed against tremendous odds  We cherish our many experiences and the bond that has endured.  We will miss and love Scenna forever.  Rest In Peace dear Scenna.

This picture from Feb. 2021 was the last time I saw Scenna. I spent a few days with her and Scarlett in Portland, and we had such a wonderful time. We laughed and shared stories. We cooked,  shopped, walked the dog, watched movies and just hung out. All the things that we enjoyed doing together. I’m so heart broken that we will never be able to do this again. Scenna, you were such a loyal, sincere, amazing friend... the absolute best! Words can't even describe how much I miss you and love you. May God rest and bless your soul. 

Scenna  was one of those people who made you feel like you belonged, you were liked, you were special. She was the one that was special bc of this trait and will be remembered for her big, beautiful, welcoming smile. 

Scenna , Shipmate, first mate , Lover, and friend. All the names I knew you as....you called me your Captain and I tried so hard to lead you in the right direction. You touched so many people with your kindness, love, and laughter. The day we met we saw a double rainbow, you told me that meant, “we were meant to be together”.... I miss my rainbow , my shipmate , my Friend . I Love you Scenna Mari Shipley, may you find peace and happiness in the universe of possibilities that make up the afterlife❤️🌈🌈💔

I think of you and our yoga sessions.  I see your face in the trees and water at the dog park we hiked and talked.  You were happy to have won the bid for this painting at our day retreat.
