Scott Basil McKinstry, 65, died Sat. Mar. 30, 2019 in his sleep at home of natural causes. Scott was born and raised in Portland, he attended Sunset High School and Oregon State University and spent his career as a postal carrier with the USPS in Hillsboro. He was a remarkably giving, generous and loving individual, always devoted to his extended family. Throughout his life, Scott felt a deep connection to the honesty and simplicity of earlier times and was an avid student of local history and family genealogy. He is sorely missed by family and friends. A celebration of life will be planned for September 28, 2019, more details to come.
