Sharon was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She worked at Pendleton Woolen Mills as an administrative assistant for almost 48 years, retiring in 2023. In 1987 she married Russ Hicks. In 1990 they welcomed a son, Sean, to their family.
A lifelong Catholic, Sharon attended St. John Fisher Grade School, St. Mary’s Academy in Portland, and was a lifelong member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father Veikko (Vic) and her mother Christine Luoma. She is survived by her husband, Russ and their son, Sean.
She is buried at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery next to her parents.
