When Sheldon was 14 years old his family relocated to Redondo Beach, CA. When he finished school he entered the US Navy and received an honorable discharge in December 1961. He married Betty Ruth Hays on April 7, 1956. Together they had three children, Michael Sheldon, Jimmy, and Susan Yvonne.
Sheldon loved to ride his motorcycles. He was particularly fond of Suzuki Rotaries. You could say he had a 'collection'. In fact, he rode around the US a few times stopping in Brooklyn to visit relatives he had not seen since he was a child.
Sheldon is survived by his son Jimmy and his wife Chelley, his daughter Susan and her husband Michael, six grandchildren: Danny, Jesse, Jason, Alex, Kristen and Stephani, and nine great-grandchildren.Arrangements under the direction of Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Portland, OR.
