Shelly had a rare kind of wit—the kind where even when she was dogging you, it was always playful and funny. She had a way of turning ordinary moments into something unforgettable. There was never a dull moment, especially the two of us clowns living in the same room. She made a dark place feel lighter w  Her laughter, her humor, and her spirit which  left a mark that time won’t erase. Shelly will forever hold a place in my heart.

Shelly you will live on in our hearts. Fly high sister and know you will be missed and loved FOREVER!! I met you when I was barley 18 thought I was hot shit you sat me down and schooled me on a bunch of things. I love yah face Bear!!

There's so many wonderful things to say about Shelly,so where do I start?Shelly had a heart of gold,and thought of others before herself.She was always there with a joke and a smile when others were down or going through a hard time.Shelly lived her life willing to face every challenge life put in front of her.Shelly loved dogs,soft and fuzzy blankets and making others feel like they mattered.Shelly was patient and understanding,and offered a helping hand to those struggling mentally,physically and emotionally.Shelly's last some months were spent in a lot of pain due to physical disabilities,but it never made her smile falter or her compassion for others waiver.Shelly and I knew each other for many years and were very close,and she always talked to me about her family.She loved her family very very deeply and loved her friends.Even though Shelly's mobility was limited,she always wanted to experience and do new things and fought through her disabilities like a true champion.I know Shelly was becoming very weary towards the end of the physical pain she was in everyday and she would often cry in pain.Its humans like Shelly that set a true example for all of us that even though their bodies are breaking down and they struggle with day to day activities,she was truly a fighter and never let her love for life or empathy for others dim.She is who we all need to strive to be.Shelly was such an amazing human and this world will be a little dimmer without her.I will miss you so so much my friend,my sister.I hope you journey well and you are flying high up in that sky with no more physical limitations.Rest well Bear.

Shelly always knew what to say especially when it had to do with my dad. I am so honored to have known her, always lended a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen.  She is truly missed. Rest easy Shelly 🙏

This is Shelly with Raskal, who was her dog more than mine most days. Shelly lived with me for the last months before her passing. She trained Raskal and she was his world. Every morning when he woke up, he had to go wake up Auntie Bear before even acknowledging my existence. He misses her dearly as do I. We are glad she is no longer in pain, even if we are now the ones hurting. Love you, Shelly Bear.

There is a saying "love doesn't know distance". I loved Shelly almost 4 years from Finland. First we exchanged letters overseas and then we started talking on the phone, almost daily. I never felt that she lived far, she was deeply important part of my life.
Last days,  when I was scared of her breathing problems, she comforted me by promising, that she is never leaving me and there's not going to be goodbyes. We still planned my visit for the next March.
She is spiritually most richest person I met by heart. I am using word "is" because I promised I don't say never goodbye, and now I refuse to. I cannot describe sorrow by words, Shelly, you are now shining star, lighting our paths to home. 
Not far at all from those who misses her nurturing, encouraging, and funny words. Those words changed my heart forever. 
My condolences to all of her family and loved ones.

I only knew Shelly for a short time, but she was kind and had a lot of love and respect for people.  To her family, I’m so sorry for your loss, and I hope you will remember that she touched people’s lives in a positive way and had such a big heart.  I know she will be missed, and my heart is heavy and goes out to you all.  Just  know she is looking down on us from a better place, and I’m sure she is a big blessing up there and we will see her again one day where there will no longer be any pain or tears.  I’m honored to have been able to call her my friend.

I met Shelly in a very dark place in my life and even though she doesn’t know it, she was a light that helped me through the dark. It’s hard to explain our relationship, since we’ve been divorced for many years. But even though we’d both moved on, she was always a part of my family and I’m so lucky to be a small part of hers. She was the one ex that I could talk to, and at the end of the conversation say “I love you” and mean it. The loss we are all feeling is immeasurable…you are truly missed Shelly. Your memory will live on in all who love you.

Aunt Shelly always cared about everyone else around her. She made every effort she could to reach out and let me and her other loved ones know just how much she loved them and cared about them. Not a day went by she didn’t try to call or text just to say she loved me and Jaxon. Even before calls and text she made sure to write me letters when she could and as a stubborn teenager I may not have always been receptive of them but they meant more to me than I could have ever imagined. She wanted everyone around her to feel happiness and love. She always put a smile on her face no matter the circumstances. I’m so glad I got to be apart of her life and bring some joy to what was left of hers. “XOXO. “As she would always text. I love you so much. We will miss you every single day ❤️
