

Stephen was baptized at an early age by the Late Rev. Dr. OB Williams at Vancouver Ave. First Baptist church. Stephen attended Irvington Elementary school, Glenco Middle school and graduated from Grant High School in 1979. In school Stephen played football, ran track and was an All American Wrestler.
After high school, Stephen joined the U.S. Air Force. With honorable discharge from the military, Stephen came home to Portland, OR where he began working as a welder at Freight Liner. Stephen remained with the company through many layoffs and name changes. In 2014, when his health began to fail, Stephen retired from Daimler Trucks.
Stephen was preceded in death by both his parents and his older sister Alescia Locke-Calvin. Stephen leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Pauline Roberts (Mike) of Chicago, IL, brother, Stevie Holliday (Marie) of Seattle, WA, stepfather, Ernest Hill III of Portland, OR, Grandfather Ernest Hill Jr. of Portland, OR Aunts, Louise Whitney of Las Vegas, NV and Mary Evans (Tim) Concord,CA, Uncles Sam Whitney, Santa Clarita ,CA, James Whitney (Deborah) Los Angeles, CA and Harry Whitney
