Theresa Ann (Igbuhay) Adams was born on December 22, 1966, to Remy Igbuhay in Cavite, Philippines, where she lived until she came to the United States at eight years old. She grew up in Oxnard, California, and met Mark Adams at the Naval Construction base in Port Hueneme in 1989. They fast fell in love and, after Mark’s last deployment, were married in Las Vegas.
The couple moved to Bremerton, Washington, where they welcomed Leilani in 1992, Nicholas in 1995, and Brady in 1996. They then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, and welcomed Kaitlin in 2000.
The family relocated to Portland, Oregon later that year, and settled in Happy Valley. Theresa lived there until her passing on January 28, 2020.
Theresa was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, friend, and grandmother. She loved with all she was, and would protect her family like a mother bear would her cubs. The simple joy she brought to her family, and now the immense loss, is unmeasurable. Her hobbies, her career, and her legacy are all the same: “Her Family!”
Theresa is survived by her husband, Mark; mother, Remy Moore; children, Leilani Winslow, Nicholas Adams, Brady Adams, Kaitlin Adams, and Kyle Winslow; granddaughter, Eloise Winslow; brother, Edward Ackinback; and mother and father-in-law, Rich and Charlene Adams.
We are all devastated by losing her, yet so grateful for the blessing God gave us in Ann- she was an amazing, kind, generous, loving mother, wife, daughter, grandmother, and friend.
We miss you, Sweetness, Mommy, Anak, Mimmi!
Tell Jesus “Thank You” from us!
