Tom was born on May 2, 1928 to proud parents, Cora and Clarence McNeal in San Bernardino, California. As a young man, Tom courageously served his country during WW II. He was involved with active combat in the Philippines and these events early in his life shaped the man he was to become.
Tom worked as a truck drive most of his life and greatly enjoyed the work. He was at peace on the road and like the experience of visiting new place and exploring new landscapes.
As a war veteran and a true patriotic of this country, Tom was active in veteran groups. He served as the commander of VFW Post 4248 for several years. He worked tirelessly at this position and truly sought to make a difference for all veterans.
Tom will be laid to rest with military honors at Willamette National Cemetery.
