With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Timothy Douglas Medak, who passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 61. Tim was born on June 12, 1964, in Portland, Oregon and spent much of his life in Vancouver Washington, where he built a life centered around family, friendship, laughter, and hard work.
Tim was a talented cabinet maker who took pride in his craftsmanship and work ethic. He was known by many for his larger-than-life personality, his quick wit, charming spirit and his ability to make any room laugh. Whether telling jokes, sharing stories, or simply enjoying the company of others, Tim was often the life of the party and someone people naturally gravitated towards.
He found joy in life’s simple but meaningful moments — barbecuing with family and friends, attending sporting events, boating, watching and going to motocross events, and celebrating the holidays in unforgettable fashion, especially when it came to finding the biggest Christmas tree possible each year. He loved spending time with his family, enjoying a cold beer, and creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Tim is survived by his four children, Douglas Medak, Ashley Medak, Derek Medak, and Brittney Medak; his six beloved grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and happiness; and his sister, Kim. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will deeply miss his humor, generosity, and unforgettable presence.
Tim’s legacy lives on through the countless memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
