

She was born in rural Bienville Parish, Louisiana to Albert and Cornelia Mac Neal Peoples, the youngest of nine children. And, she had no problem informing you,
‘I am the baby’. Her parents and all siblings preceded her in death.
Growing up in the Shady Grove community. At an early age, she accepted Christ and joined Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served and grew in the knowledge of Christ. She graduated from Shady Grove High School in May of 1953 and continued her education for three years at Grambling College in Grambling Louisiana studying elementary education.
Seeking more adventure, Valley moved to the West Coast stopping in San Diego, California and later moving to Portland, Oregon. She united with New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Her adventures led her to the love of her life, Brisco Morgan, Jr. They were married on November 10, 1959. To this union of 29 years was born two sons, Vincent Brisco Morgan (Pam) and Bruce Wayne Morgan. Her husband and sons preceded her in death.
Valley loved children and had a heart for their wellbeing. After raising her boys, she worked in some of the local public schools and Head Start assisting teachers and encouraging students in reading and math. She was active in the church and community until her illness forced her to retire.
She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
