She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1940.
On Jaunary 17, 1947 she married J. Lee Overholser in Schefflin.
Vernice worked for Washington County Sheriff's Office for 16 years and retired in 1983.
She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Overholser; sisters, Florence Reule, Grace Sahnow, Dorothy Fowles, Elvera Thompson, Eunice Meuser and Lois Valburg. She is survived by her husband, J. Lee Overholser; daughter, Jane McAyeal; a brother, Curtis Sahnow and 5 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church located at 18865 SW Johnson St. Aloha, OR 97006. Private Interment at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland.
