Viola was born in Mitchell, South Dakota to parents Thomas and Emma (Varlek) Korton. She passed away in Portland, Oregon. Viola was predeceased in 2009 by her beloved husband Arthur. They shared 69 years of marriage. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Joyce N. (Collin) Furman. Survivors include her son, Roger A Collin; daughter, Betty J. Swensen-Keepers; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
