

Virginia grew up on the family farm in Missouri, one of 13 children of John P. Elliott and Eunice Hughes Elliott. She moved to St. Joseph, Missouri in 1932 and then to Denver, Colorado where she worked on the Air Base during World War II. On October 20, 1945, she married Verne E. Kelso in Omaha, Nebraska. Verne and Virginia remained in Omaha where they raised their 4 children; Kathleen, Eldon, Steve and Stephanie.
Virginia had an adventerous spirit and she loved to travel. After retiring she was able to spend many years traveling between Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon and California visiting her Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. She was very dedicated to her family and her greatest joy came from being "Mom" and "Grandma".
Virginia was preceded in death by her Husband; Verne in 1993 and Great Grandson Zachary in 2009. Virginia is survived by her Sons; Eldon Kelso and Wife Patty, Steve Kelso and Wife Chris, Daughters; Kathleen Knowlton and Husband Gary, Stephanie Bertch and Husband Wes. 11 Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren, Brothers; Bob and Ronald Elliott and many Nieces and Nephews.

Virginia June Kelso was born in Oregon, Missouri on Thursday, June 21, 1917 and passed away in Portland, Oregon on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the age of 93 years.
