Born in Portland to Walter and Nellie Beadling, Walt attended Benson High School and married Betty Jean Welch in 1951. He worked 30-plus years as an electronics engineer for Hyster-Yale Group and was a member of the Oregon National Guard. He was active in the ham radio community during the 1960s, tinkered with cars and motorcycles, radio-controlled airplanes, computers, and any kind of technology. He enjoyed his friends, especially the “Thursday Lunch” group. He is survived by his children, Donald Beadling and Sandra Dudley, his granddaughter Clara Dudley, and his brother, David Beadling.
