

Terry was born in Chicago, Illinois. He spent five years in the Navy during the Vietnam conflict . He came to Portland in the '70s on the Rose Festival Navy fleet and fell in love with Oregon. He worked as an electrician at the Portland shipyards and various other locations with IBEW Local 48. He was also a technical writer with Floating Point Systems. His most recent job was at Stimson Lumber as a PLC Programmer. Terry was a talented carpenter and created several home improvements to the family home.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; son, James P. Woods (Mai) and his children, Joseph, Aya, and Maki; son, John T. Woods; brother, Dennis Woods (Sophia); and sisters, Janice Woods, Jenny Opachick, Margie Schmidt (Jim), and Nancy Woehlke.
The family is forever grateful for the special loving care received from the Kaiser NW Hospice Team. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation "In Memory of William "Terry" Woods" to:

An informal 'Celebration of Life' ceremony for Terry will be held on Saturday, May 7, from 11:30am - 1pm at The American Legion, Aloha Post 104, 20325 SW Alexander Street, Aloha, OR 97003.
