

Jack was born on May 20, 1923, in Bellingham, Washington, to Pitt Fetty White and Elizabeth White, and was raised in the Bellingham area. During World War II, he proudly served his country, stationed in the Pacific Islands.
On July 17, 1949, Jack married Geraldine F. White, with whom he shared many devoted years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on hard work, family, and quiet dedication.
Jack spent the majority of his career in retail with J.J. Newberry’s, working throughout Washington, Idaho, and Oregon for over 40 years. Even after retirement, he continued working part-time, reflecting his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family.
He enjoyed a simple and fulfilling life, finding happiness in gardening (especially growing vegetables) and working around the house. Jack was known as an easygoing and mellow man who worked hard for those he loved. He was a devoted husband and father, remembered as a steady and caring provider who was deeply loved by his family.
Jack is survived by his children, including Elizabeth James, Robert White, Craig White, Virginia White-Martin, and Barbara Kortright; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geraldine.
While no formal services were held for Jack, he was reunited with Geraldine at Willamette National Cemetery.
