

Zelma married her husband, Gail Hanson, in 1969, and together they travelled the world while he was stationed with the United States Air Force in Germany and Norway. They visited Israel, Egypt, Russia, Sweden, Denmark, France, Belgium, England, Yugoslavia, Tunisia, and other countries on vacations and cruises over several years. She was a member of the Holladay Park Church of God in Portland. Zelma enjoyed bowling, travelling, clam digging, reading; especially true crime novels, and was renowned for being the “Designated Razor Clam Cooker,” remaining unparalleled in their preparation.
Zelma is survived by her loving husband, Gail; daughters Rosemarie Camp and April Alianza; sons Gail Hanson, Jr. and Scott Hanson; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; as well as many beloved and loyal friends, with whom they remained in solid contact throughout the years.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2pm at the Holladay Park Church of God in Portland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CDM Adult Day Care Center, 2409 Broadway, Vancouver, WA 98663.
