

Mrs. Doria M. Capone, age 80 of Potsdam, NY passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at the Massena Memorial Hospital. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 23rd at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church in Potsdam, NY with Msgr. Harry Snow celebrant. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Monday, the 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Hospice and Palliative
Care of the St. Lawrence Valley or to the Massena Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Capone was born October 24, 1930 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada to the late Arthur and Marie Andre Tremblay. She attended St. Mary’s School in Cornwall, Ontario. On February 23, 1952 at St. John Bosco Church in Cornwall she was married to Theodore (Ted) Samuel Capone. She attended Business School at Potsdam Central and then she went to work at Clarkson College of Technology as a senior secretary in the Electrical Engineering Department. She retired in 1992 with over 30 years of service.
Doria is survived by her sons Anthony Capone of Hannawa Falls, NY; Steven (Connie Fiacco) Capone of Norwood; a daughter Brenda (Mark) Maroney of Potsdam; grandchildren Jason and Michelle Capone, Aaron Capone, Christopher Capone, Rachel Capone, Samuel Capone, Jonathan Capone, Todd and Kara Stone and Mark Maroney Jr; several great grandchildren, her brothers John, Rodolphe and Yvonne Tremblay, sisters Claire (Gerard) Fobert, Jacqueline Williamson, Elaine (Henri) Dicaire, Charlene (James) Bailey and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Theodore (Ted) Capone, her parents Arthur and Marie Tremblay, her mother and father in law Ruby McDonald and Samuel Capone and her brother in law Donald Williamson.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Potsdam. She enjoyed her summers at camp with all her family and friends. She enjoyed fishing and cooking her great foods. She loved attending family events in Canada and right at her home here in Potsdam.
