Joan Bronson

Mrs. Joan E. Bronson, age 79 of West Stockholm, NY passed away on December 30, 2011 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital where she had been a patient since the 29th. There will be a memorial service on January 7, 2012 at 11am at the Garner Funeral Service in Potsdam, NY with Rev. James Barnes II celebrant. Contributions in her memory can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley. She will be buried in the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Norwood, NY.

Joan is survived by her daughter Cindy, sons Charles and Chris Bronson, stepsons David E. and William K. Bronson, step daughter Judith Ann Taille, sisters Jean Bronson, Ruby Skinner, Lillian McCloud, brother Garnet Bronson, 8 grandchildren, one great grandson and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband David J. Bronson, a step daughter Janice Bronson and a grandson Matthew Bronson.

Mrs. Joan E. Bronson was born on March 26, 1932 in Long Sault, Ontario to the late Heber and Ada Ross Winters. She attended Canadian schools. She moved to the United States and on October 12, 1954 at the Russell Methodist Church she was married to David J. Bronson. Mr. and Mrs. Bronson operated a family farm for many years in West Stockholm. Later on in her life she worked for First Student.
