

Lloyd “Red” Shattuck 77 of Snell Rd, Parishville, NY passed suddenly on Thursday November 12, 2015, Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Lloyd was born on January 21, 1938 in Potsdam to the late Leila Holmes and Gerald Shattuck Graduated from Norwood-Norfolk.
Mr. Shattuck was married to Judith A Mellon and Emilie Shattuck before being predeceased by both and later finding companionship with Kay Peterson for the last six years.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 4pm to 7pm at the Garner Funeral Service. There will be no funeral services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at the Southville Cemetery in Stockholm.
Red is survived by three daughters; Patricia and Sterling Bombard of West Henrietta, Carole & Richard Bradley of West Stockholm and Marie Brunet of Potsdam, two brothers; Lester of Florida and Lowell of Fulton, two sisters; Shirley MacArthur of Illinois and Sandy Flewelling of North Carolina, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and several nieces nephews and cousins. A son David Lloyd Shattuck, a daughter Mary Margaret Shattuck, three grandchildren; Kaylee Perkins, Shannon and Slade Bradley, and a son-in-law Richard Brunet predeceased Lloyd.
Mr. Shattuck worked for the Potsdam Village Police Department for 20 years. He also was a volunteer firefighter for over 20 years, a member of the Potsdam VFW, the Potsdam Moose, Potsdam Elks, and the Parishville American Legion and was a driver for the Disabled American Veterans. Red also enjoyed dressing up as Santa Clause for the Potsdam Police Department for many years, drinking beer, partying, his cat Bear, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids , great grandkids and his great-great grandkids.
