Wayne M. Brown

Mr. Wayne M. Brown, age 69 of Potsdam, NY passed away suddenly on April 7th at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Thursday, April 13th from 5-7pm. A memorial service will be held at 7pm at the Garner Funeral Service with Rev. Kenneth Ashley celebrant. Contributions in Wayne's memory can be made to the Potsdam Volunteer Fire Dept. Wayne is survived by his wife Priscilla Brown; sons Jeff M. Brown and fiancée Rachael Capone; Christopher W. "little Bob" Brown and companion Angela Foster; grandchildren Marissa and Dallas Brown; brothers Earl (Barb) Brown and Joseph “Dickie” (Mitsuko) “Mitch” St. Thomas and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Rose and Morris Brown and his brothers Albert, Raymond, Roland and Alfred “Cozzie” St. Thomas.

Mr. Wayne M. Brown was born on September 17, 1947 in Ogdensburg, NY to Morris and Rose Slyman Brown. He was a 1965 graduate of Salmon River Central School. He was married to Priscilla Gratton on April 26, 1969. Wayne was retired from Clarkson University after 25 years of service. After his retirement he went to work for NAPA Auto Parts where he remained for another 9 years. He was a charter member of the Potsdam Moose Lodge, the Potsdam Elks Lodge, Brunner Hill Club, SUNY Potsdam “Green Thumb” Program and a member of the Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department. Wayne was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling.
