

Katie was born on April 29, 1919 to Harry and Julia Dembitski Brezinsky of Scanlon Hill, Pennsylvania. She was one of seven children.
She married John A. Cermak and worked with him as a muck farmer. She later retired as an assembler from McConnell Manufacturing. She spent much of her time caring for her brother, and she was well known as independent and self sufficient. She loved her family and enjoyed a peaceful, quiet life.
Katie is survived by her son, Barry (Sherrell) Cermak; sister, Julia (Louie) Lesychin; grandsons, Jim (Becky) Cermak and Chris (Jill) Cermak; several great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many wonderful close friends.
In accordance with Mrs. Cermak’s wishes, there will be no services. Interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery and a celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
She was predeceased by her husband, John, and son, Donald, as well as her five other brothers and sisters.
