HOWELL, Anice N., 94 of Prattville, passed away Thursday March 8, 2012. Funeral services were held Monday March 12 at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with Pastors Tony Butler and Phil Leister officiating. Burial followed in Prattville Memory Gardens. Mrs. Howell was born August 17, 1917 to the late Walter and Gracie Duck Newton. She was a Sunday school teacher for forty eight years, a poet and an artist. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by three husbands; Watson Daniel, E. Walter Sanders and Warren Howell, a son; Dr. L. Grant Daniel, a brother; John Lee Newton. Survivors include and son ; Darrell Daniel and his wife Sharon, a daughter –in-law; Patsy Daniel, four step sons and their families; James D. Sanders, Jackie L. Sanders, Gerald Sanders, Lomax Howell, a stepdaughter Sandra Howell Morrison; a brother; Rayford Newton, a sister; Jimmie Lou Coon, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.
