Carl H. "Sonny" Stewart Jr.

STEWART, Jr., Carl Hughlette, age 67, a resident of Prattville, AL went to be with his Lord and Savior after an extended illness Sunday, January 12, 2014. The family will receive friends at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel, Wednesday, January 15, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 PM at Ridout’s Chapel with Rev. Clint Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Sarah Stewart. Survivors include his wife, Donna Hurst Stewart; three children, Carl J. (Liz) Stewart, Ginger (Mark) Gregg and Russell Stewart; grandchildren, Jordan Stewart, Logan Stewart, Erica Lammon, Ally Stewart and Zachary Lammon; nieces and nephews, Rich Redmond, Kiel Redmond, Erin Bratcher, Jared Andrews, Shannon Andrews, Jordan Andrews and numerous other relatives. Mr. Stewart was a graduate of Troy State University and proudly served as Vice President of Griggs Produce Company in Montgomery, AL for 21 years and worked with Russell Do-It-Center, afterwards retiring from The Autauga County Sherriff’s Department as Third Shift Sargent in 2008.
