Carol Sue Jones, 72, of Elmore, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, with her beloved daughter, Genny, by her side. Carol was born on January 24 in Pensacola, Florida, to Duane Jones and Margie Carter. From the very beginning, family was the center of her world—a value she carried with her throughout her life and lovingly passed on to her children and grandchildren. Carol was known for her kindness, unwavering dedication to her family, quick sense of humor, and generous heart. She found her greatest joy in being a mother and grandmother, and there was nothing she cherished more than time spent with her children and grandchildren. Her love was constant, her support unending, and her presence a source of comfort and laughter. Above all else, Carol will be remembered as a wonderful mother whose love shaped generations. She is survived by her children: Genny (Gary) Dubus, Jessica (Danny) Law, and Ruben (Amanda) Maddalena; her grandchildren: Matt (Elaine), Josh, Mikey (Claire), Justin, Bryan (Amber), Mylissa, Brady, Savanna, and Brandon; and her great‑grandchildren: Mason, Eli, Gannon, Barrett, Serenity, and Xander. She is also survived by her siblings: Brenda, Debra (Greg), Stanley (Yvonne), Beverly, and Debbie, along with many extended family members and loved ones who will miss her deeply. Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara, and her brother, Harold. A Celebration of Life honoring Carol’s life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. CST at Sanders Beach Park, located at 913 South I Street, Pensacola, Florida 32502. If weather permits. Carol’s legacy lives on through the love she gave so freely and the family she held so close
