Carolyn Anne McCartney Snuggs

She is preceded in death by her father, Claude Oliver McCartney Sr.; mother, Nelva June Duffy; husband, Sethe Snuggs; and daughter, Tracy Little Boswell. She is survived by her sons, Robert Donald Gober (Melissa) and Gilbert Wayne (Bo) Little, Jr.; daughters, Donna Rene Mosley (Larry) and Carrie Leigh Beasley (Jerry); step-son, Michael Snuggs; step-daughter, Joy Burgans; brother, Claude "Buck" McCartney (Beverly); sisters, Jaime McCartney and Jo Lynn Burnett (Barry); grandchildren, Trey Gober (Madeline), Meagan Gober, Christian Gober, Amanda Evans, Melissa Malwitz, Cassidy Wong (Nick), Jamie Evans (Amara), Jeremy Boswell (Emily) Kade Beasley, Cole Beasley, Karley Harper, and Lisa Jackson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

Carolyn was born April 28,1943 in Los Angeles, CA. She followed her ambitions to become a nurse and graduated from Samford University in May of 1977 with an Associate of Science in Nursing. She fulfilled her legacy in nursing with an extensive career as the Director of Nursing at Merry Wood Lodge, a Corporate Nurse of Nursing Home Consulting, and carrying others into the career as a Nurse Educator. When Carolyn was not working, she loved to host, entertain, and provide the wonderful cooking that she was known for to her loved ones and friends. She was also known for her artistic abilities and skilled crafts of painting, drawing, as well as being an avid reader and a lover of books. She was a devout follower of Christ and had the astonishing ability to teach the word of God. Due to her love for nursing as well as her faith, she was known as a caregiver in her community and family. Throughout Carolyn's life overall, her faith and her family were most important to her. Her devotion to these two things were extremely evident in her daily life.

An evening Visitation for Carolyn will be held Monday, April 7, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville, 347 East Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067. A Funeral Service will be held the following day on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Autaugaville Baptist Church, 2502 AL-14, Autaugaville, AL 36003 with a Graveside Service immediately following at Rocky Hill Cemetery, 2840 AL-14, Autaugaville, AL 36003.
