

JONES, Charles, 77, a Montgomery resident, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 26th at 2:00 P.M. at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with the Reverend Lamar Lyon officiating. Burial will follow in the Coosa River Cemetery. Mr. Jones was born in Montgomery on March 24, 1933, to the late Luther and Lillie Webb Jones. He was retired business owner having worked for many years in the furniture upholstery field. As an avid sportsman, Mr. Jones enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching WWE Pro-style wrestling. Survivors include his loving wife of fifty nine years Lavell, two daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy A. and Harold Barber of Mathews, Alabama, Wanda Gail and Gene Durbin of Prattville, a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Daniel “Chuck” and Rhonda Jones of Grady, Alabama, three grandchildren, Neil Harris, Matthew Harris, Brandy Dooley; four great grandchildren, Nathan Jones, Hannah Jones, Alex Dooley, Kimberlee Harris, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other close relatives and friends. Active Pallbearers will be Jimmy Cooper, Daryl Cooper, Billy McCollum, Jonathan McCollum, George Nobles, Richard Nobles, Travis Whitlow and Pat McGuire. Honorary pallbearers will be the Members of the Pike Road Round Table Club. The family would like to express a special thanks to the physicians and their staffs who cared for Mr. Jones to include: James Mracek, II, South East Hospice, David George, Paul Cammack, Paul Shashy, Caudill Miller, John Anthony, Charles Ingalls, and Ishwar Bhuta. Visitation will be held on Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
