Christine Sarah Allen

Christine Sarah Mitchell Allen, age 81, was born December 24, 1941 in Port Glasgow, Scotland and passed away on Sunday Aug 20, 2023. She came over to the United States in 1962 as a nanny and met the love of her life and married Leonard L Allen, (Roy), May 1 1965.

Christine was a devoted Catholic, faithful and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She will forever be remembered for her extraordinary kindness to her family and friends. Her quick-witted humor brought tears of joy to your eyes and a smile to your face, and will be cherished and missed forever. She was loved by all that met her.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents David and Sarah Mitchell, brothers David and Gerard.

Christine is survived by her husband of 58 years, Roy Allen. Children Michelle Shaw, (David), Carole Pigg and Lee Allen. Grandchildren, Wes Allen (Caterina), Travis Cutting (Trish), Trevor Cutting (Avery), Lana Beard (Pat), Cameron Buckland and Luke Allen. Great grandchildren, Everett, Emma, Travis Jr, Reggie, Reece and Brantley. Sister Carole Mitchell, niece Kimberley King, (Jason), great nephews, cousins and friends.

The family of Christine Allen wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Brandy Romero of Kindred Hospice and the special patrons of St. Joseph's catholic church. You all brought her so much peace and joy. Per Christine's wishes, she will be laid to rest back home in Scotland.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Kindred Hospice or St. Jude Children's Hospital
