Daisy C. Cox

Visitation will be held Sunday beginning at 1:00 PM followed by her funeral service at 2:00 PM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with Pastor Tommy Roy officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Cox was born March 26, 1915 to the late Charlie Cook and Ellen Price Cook. She was retired from Independent Lock Company after 28 years of service. She was loved by all who knew her and will always be remembered as a devoted wife and mother.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Bill Cox.

She is survived by her eight daughters; Helen (Emmitt) Price, Bobbie Jean Bohannon, Geri (Larry) Wilkes, Lucille Tatum, Louise (Bobby) Glass, Pat McCollum, Kitty Duncan (Bobby), Linda (Wayne) Reeves; 19 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other close family members. Pallbearers will be Billy McCollum, Chris Reeves, Bob Glass, Bryon Glass, Wes Bohannon, Julio Mendez, Tony Findley and Clay Smith. A special thanks to Dr. Martin Wybenga, caregivers Melissa Cobb, Brenda Smith and many other close family and friends for their help, love and support.
