Dorrance Evet Deakle Jr.

Celebration of Life services were held at 3:00 PM Sunday February 23rd at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with Dr. Bill Blow officiating.

Ed was born on April 29, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Dorrance (Sr.) and Mary Bernadette Connley Deakle.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and had served for a time in the United States Marine Corps reserve.

He spent many years in the commercial/residential pest control field. He worked for over twenty years with Arrow Pest Control in Prattville where in was known for his strong work ethic. During his time with Arrow, he made many friends among the customers.

Ed is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Bernadette and Mike McAloney, Donna and Mark Williams, Samantha and Glen Mayton; s sons and daughters-in-law, Dorrance and Robbye Deakle, Michael and Amy Deakle; two sisters, Laura Lee and Al Reeder, Catherine and Ervin Wright , a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close family friends. Pallbearers were employees of Arrow Pest Control and included Mike Byrd, Dan McPhearson, Raymond Morton, Robert Cabiness, Leo Daily, Greg Bowen and Paul Bowen.
