George Hubert Manning, MSGT (Ret.), 82 of Montgomery, passed away Thursday May 31, 2018. Mr. Manning was born on August 12, 1935. He was preceded in death by his parents, B.F. and Susie Manning, 1 infant son, George Randal, 1 infant daughter, Wanda Kay, two brothers, James and Albert Manning, 4 sisters, Marietta Newcomb, Marie Hill, Lucille Frederick, Zelma Webb and a close companion, Betty Richardson.
He is survived by one son Michael Manning (Cynthia), one daughter Mia Frost, 2 grandchildren, Sanders and Michaelyn Manning, 3 sisters, Mable Whipple, Jeanette Logan, and Jettie, 1 brother Jack Manning and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday June 2nd at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with Minister Charles Frederick officiating and Eulogy by Mia Frost. Burial with military honors followed in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Marbury.
Active pallbearers were Sanders Manning, Joe Frederick, Randy Logan, Rodney Logan, Danny Webb and Ernest Manning. Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Webb, Aubrey Logan and Alton Manning.
