NORTON, Harold S. Jr., 65, a resident of Prattville, AL passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Singleterry and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Ivey. Harold was a kind and thoughtful friend. He was an avid Braves, Prattville Lions and Alabama fan. He was an active member of the Hunting Ridge Church of God, Prattville, AL and loved his church family very much. He was an active member of Council for the Blind, which he enjoyed very much. He was an active employee of Olive Garden, Montgomery, AL for 19 years. He will be long remembered and truly missed by all that knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory, John, Kathy and Hope Sheffield, his caretakers. Jim and Janet Manderson, close friends, and Tracy Mims, his phone buddy; along with a host of friends which he considered family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Hunting Ridge Church of God with Rev. Wayne Rouse and Rev. Steve Smith officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
