James Malcolm Alford, age 81, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025. He is preceded in death by: Parents, Raymond T. Alford and Irene Nix Burnham; Son, James Alford Jr. and Son in law, Buddy Murphy and a host of Brothers and Sisters.
James is survived by: Wife, Madelyn Alford; Children, Heather Cole (Willy), Heidi Murphy, Mark Ewell (Sabrina); Grandchildren, Spencer Cole (Raven), Benjamin Cole (Shelby), Sophia Sherrill (Laken), Sean Murphy, Lily Murphy, Aby Ewell, Ari Ewell, Angel Ewell, Lexie Ewell, Ava Ewell; Great Grandchildren, River Cole, Atlas Rose Cole, Valley Cole, Nova Lynn Cole; Sisters, Joyce White (Jim), Winnie Suitt; Brother, Billy Burnham (Sheila) and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews.
James was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and once celebrated his birthday there.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 1:00 PM at First Pentecostal Church in Prattville, 879 Washington Ferry Road, Prattville, AL 36067 with Rev. Shawn Meeks officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
