

A public viewing for Mr. Rodriguez will be from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday, April 18, 2022 at Robert Massie Funeral Home, San Angelo, TX, with a Rosary at 6:00 PM.
A visitation in Prattville, Alabama will be Friday, April 22, 2022 from 11:30 – 12:30 at Ridouts Prattville Chapel in Prattville, Alabama. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM at Shoal Creek Cemetery, Deatsville, Alabama.
Mr. Rodriguez was born on November 24, 1936 in Eola to Juan and Catilina Pertida Rodriguez. He graduated from Wall High School and attended Angelo State University. John served in the U. S. Air Force and did a tour in Vietnam. He retired after 33 years of service in 1990 as a Chief Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force, John worked for Alyeska Pipeline Service Company and later for British Petroleum. He retired in 2001 as a consultant. John was a college boxer and softball player, he also played softball for the Air Force, and enjoyed basketball and judo. He was a Mason, a Shriner, and a member of St. Phillip Catholic Church in Eola. He was married to Josephine Jones who passed away in 2011. John later married Mary Broyles and she passed away in 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Daniel Rodriguez.
Survivors include two sons, Steven Rodriguez of Vick and Joe Alfred Rodriguez and wife Valerie of Grovetown, Georgia, step daughter Debra Clarizio with husband Matt Clarizio and step son, Paul Jones; two sisters, Elida Rodriguez of Lakewood, Colorado and Maria “Vicky” Talavera of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Rhiannon Frantz and husband Daryl of Eatonville, Washington, Ashley Roberts and husband Jamaal of Anchorage, Alaska, and Danielle Rodriguez of Evans, Georgia, Rose Clarizio, Stephanie Clarizio, Destinee Jones and Cheyenne Jones; great-grandchildren, Lathan Frantz, Eibhlean Frantz, Jack Frantz, Max Frantz, Fearghail Frantz, Jacob Ray and David Jones; and a significant other, Trini Rangel of San Angelo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
