Joseph James Keeney Jr. passed away on October 23, 2025, at the age of 81. He was born on April 2, 1944 in Pennsylvania. He spent the majority of his life living in Virginia prior to retiring to Prattville, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Anna May Keeney and Parents, Joseph J. Keeney Sr. and Phyllis G. Keeney.
Joseph is survived by his Daughter, Debra Allen (Mark); Brother, Michael Keeney (Joyce); Sisters, Patti Conti and Colleen McCraken (Jim) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Joseph was a retired factory worker and served in the U.S. Air Force and in the Naval Reserves. He was very proud to be a veteran. He loved to travel extensively and went on many mission trips especially to Romania and Uruguay. He served in his churches at Western Heights Baptist in Virginia and Camelia Baptist in Prattville, Alabama. Joseph also volunteered in jail ministries in Virginia.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30PM on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Camelia Baptist Church in Prattville.
