Judy K. Pickler, age 67, passed away peacefully at her home on April 1, 2026, surrounded by the abiding love of her family, after a courageous and steadfast battle with pancreatic cancer. A devoted resident of Eclectic, Alabama, and formerly of Autaugaville and Prattville, she lived a life defined by quiet strength, deep devotion, and enduring grace.
She was reunited in rest with those who preceded her in death: her beloved husband of 42 years, Mark Evan Pickler Sr.; her parents, Julius Clinton Kent, Sr. and Frances K. DeLoach; and her brother, Steven Kent.
Judy leaves behind a family who will forever carry her love in their hearts: her brother, Julius Clinton Kent, Jr. (Pam); her father-in-law, Gordon K. Pickler; her devoted daughter, ReBekah Pickler Palmer (Marcus); and her cherished son, Mark Evan Pickler Jr. (Octavia). She was a deeply cherished grandmother to Wesley Walden, Jayce Pickler, Skye Porath, Maleigha Richardson, Maliyah Richardson, McKenna Richardson, and Adaya Pickler, each of whom was a bright light in her life. She is also lovingly remembered by her with many nieces and nephews whose lives she touched so meaningfully.
To know Judy was to know kindness in its truest form. She possessed a remarkable intellect, a generous spirit, and a quiet resilience that steadied those around her. She gave freely of herself—offering encouragement, strength, and unwavering support to family and friends alike. Her professional life reflected that same dedication, as she built a long and respected career as a legal secretary and later served with distinction in the Alabama Secretary of State’s Office.
In life’s quieter moments, Judy found joy in simple and beautiful things: the creativity of crafting, the peace of tending her garden, and the wonder of traveling the open seas. These small joys, like her love, were shared generously with those around her.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Judy’s life at Ridout’s-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel, 347 East Main Street, Prattville, Alabama, on April 11, 2026. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place at Rocky Hill in Autaugaville, where her ashes will be laid to rest.
Though she has been called from this world, Judy’s presence endures—in the love she gave, the lives she shaped, and the memories that will forever be held close. Her life stands as a lasting testament to grace, strength, and a love that does not fade.
