He is preceded in death by his brothers, David (Gladys) Headley, Clarence (Dean) Headley, Renfroe(Willie) Headley, Ernest(Gloria) Headley, and Alvin (Adeline) Headley, and his sisters, Frances (Cecil)Pounders, Lois (Hershel) Hamilton and Eunice (Reed )Mims.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Ola Mae Headley, 2 daughters, Teresa (Robert) Kopf and Lynn Headley, 3 grandchildren, Kimberly (Wes) Brand, Brianne (Ben) Anthony, and Robby (Peggy) Strichik, 2 great grandchildren, Braden Brand and Haylee Anthony. Also, 2 stepsons,Billie Jean (Diane) Littleton and Darron (Susan) Littleton. He also has 5 step grandchildren, Tonya Cofer, Trey III (Amanda) Littleton, Bam Bam (Rachel) Littleton, Corrine Littleton and Ivan Littleton. Robert also leaves behind 11 more step great grandchildren
Robert said he is "a simple man with a simple plan. A simple funeral was his wish.
He retired from the Air National Guard after 23 years. He was a District Civil Engineer for the Dept of Transportation and has been retired for 41 years. He enjoyed his cattle, chickens, and many furbabies.
Above all, he was a wonderful and loving Papa. He had many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. He loved his Pastor and Church family. He thought so much of some very special ladies at the church. Too many to name, but you know who you are.
The family will receive friends from 11AM-12PM on Friday, Feb 20th at Pletcher Community Church in Maplesville, AL, with a service to follow at 12PM, with Rev. Joey Green officiating. A private family burial will follow the service.
Pallbearers will be Wes Brand, Ben Anthony, Trey Littleton, Bam Bam Littleton, Mark Sprayberry and Junior Sprayberry.
