WAINWRIGHT, Rube, 94 a Montgomery resident, passed away Thursday May 10, 2012. Funeral services were held Sunday May 13 at 2:00 PM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with Minister Shirley Broadway and the Reverend Rudolph Esco officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery in Autauga County. Rube was born in Autauga County on December 16, 1917 to the late Ebenezer and Mary Durden Wainwright. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II and was a retired auto mechanic. He was preceded in death by six sisters and one brother. He is survived by his loving wife of forty one years, Liz Wainwright, three sons, James (Joyce) Wainwright, Lewis Wainwright, Earl (Mary) Wainwright, a daughter, Elizabeth Lambert, ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, a sister, Birdie Hester, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. Pallbearers will be Bobby Wainwright, Bryant Wainwright, Chris Wainwright, Waylon Wainwright, Lewis Wainwright, and E.B. Boatfield.
