Shirley Anne (Johnson) Kopf

Shirley (Johnson) Kopf of Overland Park, KS, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, and went to spend eternity in the presence of the Lord. She was born on August 23, 1936 in Prattville, AL, the third child of Woodrow and Ethel Odie (Neeley) Johnson.

She relocated to the Kansas City Area in 1959 to work at the Bendix Coporation until her marriage to Royce Kopf on February 11, 1961, after which time she became a fulltime home-maker, later getting an Associates of Arts degree from Longview Community College. She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Ronald, Faye (Seamon), Bruce, and Edwina (Bales). She leaves Royce, her husband of 56 years; three childen, Douglas (Melissa), Patricia (Eric), and Philip (Dianne); eight grandchildren, Haley, Grayson, Spencer, Caroline, Megan, Andrew, Noah and Amelia; four siblings, James "Herbie" Johnson", Donald, John and Kay (Parton).

There will be a visitation for family and friends at Ridout's Prattville Chapel Thursday, June 1, 2017 beginning at 10:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Travis Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
