CHAMPION, Stanford “Buck”, 76, of Prattville, AL, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Parker and Maude Etta Champion; four brothers, Luther Champion, Henry Clay Champion, Russell Champion and Robert Champion; six sisters, Mary Herman, Marie Watkins, Gladys Lee, Juanita Cleckley, Kathleen Graham and Jeanette Champion. He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Charlene Champion; one daughter, Cindy (Joe) Crawford; two sons, Danny (Tanya) Champion and Stanley Champion; one sister, Louise Garner; one brother, Norris (Eugenia) Champion; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Mark Aldridge, Nelson Champion, Mitchell Champion, Cecil Wyatt, David Watkins, Peyton Herman, Buster Aldridge and Robert Clay Champion. A special Thank You to the staff of Prattville Baptist Hospital, and Baptist Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with Rev. Randy Newman and Rev. H.O. Williams. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
