

LIVINGSTON, Walter L., USAF, Ret., 64, a resident of Wetumpka, AL, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2011. He retired from the United States Air Force after twenty five years of service. He also retired from the Federal Civil Service. He owned and operated Walt Livingston Photography and was co-owner of MarChelle’s Bistro. He served as disaster coordinator for the American Red Cross for fifteen years, and also served as a coordinator for the LPGA Tournament. He was a Prattville Band Booster for twenty years. He received numerous medals of honor while serving in the United States Air Force, to include Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, Humanitarian Service Medal with five oak cluster, National Defense Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Overseas Tour Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon with five oak leaf clusters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Liz Livingston. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Livingston; two daughters, Michelle (Shelley) Taylor, and her husband Mark; Renee Livingston; sister, Sue Erickson; two brothers, Ed (Carol) Livingston and Jim (Rita) Livingston. Three grandchildren, Emily Perkins McQueen, Darcy Perkins, and Nicholas Stroube Taylor; great grandchild, Emma Grace McQueen. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church, Wetumpka, AL with Dr. Noel Walker officiating. Burial with full military honors follow in Prattville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
