My condolences to the family.  A man I enjoyed on a personal level and respected as a businessman.  Always had a positive attitude. He was my go to electrician.  

Aalt - your smiling face - I can still see you. What a blessing you were to many.  We remember the whole family with fondness. God bless you all.

My memories of  Aalt mostly revolve around how he was with his family. I remember him chasing them around for a hug or a kiss. It was like a fun game for everyone. He always had a smile on his face. He wasn’t afraid to try a new hair style. He had a lot of inner strength as well. I think specifically of his bravery to not have bypass surgery. Instead he did exercises and sprints to improve his cardiac circulation. Not many can do this but he did it successfully.
He was not afraid to stand by his principles and be different from  the rest of the pack. He was a man of God who listened and praise his Lord until the end. His life mattered and he will be remembered for the difference he made to the all those around him.



Alt was a kind soul who always had the time to talk with me when I needed some advice or guidance. He taught me a few things about raising girls. He taught by example and I enjoyed spending time with him. His faith was encouraging and I am happy that he is home now, with our Lord. Till we meet again brother.

My first memories of Aalt (& Diny) started in the early 1980’s. Dave and I were new to Prince George, early marrieds and starting a family.  We saw them raising a successful family and walking with the Lord. We wanted to know how to do that. He was a model to us in many ways: family , church commitment, earnest with the Lord, business ethics. 
Who remembers Aalt as the candy man at the church picnic. 
Aalt also apprenticed Dave in his beginning electrical studies. He admired Aalt’s precision and work. 
Aalt was a model in so many areas of life. His influence through his family will live on. He finished well. 
My love to you all during this time. I’m so sorry for your loss. 

Alt’s love for the Lord was always very strong. I remember him especially for his love for people and his keen interest in evangelism, in particular among those of East Indian origin. His life is a testimony to what God can do through the life of one dedicated to His glory! 

I knew Aalt to be man of his word, a man you could trust unwaveringly.  He lived by his beliefs and his life was devoted to what he believed to be deeply true. He created a beautiful family of daughters. I have admired each one in my life and felt deeply close to some of these women in the midst of life's most shaking challenges. I suppose I know Aalt mostly by these women, these strong and kind and beautiful women I was privileged to call friends in this life. By these daughters he leaves the world marked with truth and passion; by these daughters I know that God allows us children who wrestle with us, who shape us, who reach beyond us and touch the earth in remarkable ways. By these children I know that the things that have not been completed in me shine through in the lives of the children and grandchildren I leave behind.
